CANCELLATIONS CAN BE DIVIDED INTO TWO GROUPS:

  • CANCELLATIONS CAUSED BY EXTRAORDINARY CIRCUMSTANCES
  • CANCELLATIONS NOT CAUSED BY EXTRAORDINARY CIRCUMSTANCES

1. Cancellations caused by extraordinary circumstances unable to foresee. Cancellations less than 24 hours before departure.

  • Bad weather 
  • Strikes 
  • Technical reasons 
  • Political instability 
  • Security risks 
  • Air Traffic Management decisions 
  • Lack of crew 

 

Passengers who are facing a cancellation caused by extra ordinary circumstances are entitled to: 

  • Rebooked to other ND-flight  
  • Care 
  • Refund -  in case of passenger refuses alternative flight  

REBOOKING 

Passengers may be rebooked or rerouted to other ND operated flights in the same booking class or same service class as originally booked. 

Travel Agents must contact Nordica Agent Helpdesk for rebooking if same service class has no space available. 

Rebooking onto other airlines not permitted unless otherwise specified. Travel Agents must contact Nordica Agent Helpdesk . 

Fare Endorsement (FE) 

The characters ‘INVOL’ shall be used in the first five characters of the endorsement/restriction area of the reissued document only where an Involuntary Reroute has occurred. 

The characters ‘INVOL’ shall not be used in the endorsement area of the reissued document in any other circumstances.” 

CARE – Definition 

Meals and refreshments, hotel accommodation for one or more nights if necessary, transport to/from airport and hotel, two phone calls, telex, e-mails or faxes.  

Involuntary Rerouting rules - Interruption occur on the same day of the first impacted flight, or the day before. 

Involuntary reroute” means a change to a passenger’s itinerary as originally ticketed due to an interruption in the operation of a carrier’s flight or inability to provide transportation for confirmed space, provided that this interruption has not occurred earlier than one day prior to the scheduled departure day of the first impacted flight.
