The proportion of completed flights and on-time accuracy to within 15 minutes rose to 98% and 89% in September. This improvement in quality figures is largely linked to the rise in the proportion of flights operated by Nordica with its own CRJ-type aircraft and flight crews, which surpassed the 80% mark for the first time during the month (reaching 81%). In addition to its own planes, Nordica will continue to serve its passengers with a partner air craft from BMI in October.

Jaan Tamm, chairman of Nordica’s management board, says that the company’s progress and results are in accordance with its plans, allowing the airline to look ahead to the winter season reassured. Since the number of flights drops a little during the winter months, comprehensive maintenance will be carried out on the entire Nordica fleet as per normal in autumn and winter.

Nordica flew a total of 271,095 passengers in the first nine months of the year. Its most popular destinations remain Munich and Stockholm, with Vilnius making a marked rise in September.

Nordica’s winter schedule, to which it will be making the transition on 30 October, offers flights to 13 destinations: direct flights from Tallinn to Amsterdam, Brussels, Kyiv, Munich, Oslo, Stockholm, Trondheim, Vienna and Vilnius; further summer-schedule direct flights (extended until the end of the month) to Nice, Split and Odessa; and continued flights on the Örebro-Copenhagen-Groningen route between Sweden, Denmark and the Netherlands, whose cost-effectiveness is guaranteed.
